BECAUSE I´M HAPPY!

Today we work on the song "Because I´m Happy" Pharrel Williams. Students were really motivated to  do this activity.

The main activity is based on fill in the gaps, but each pair has different gaps than his/her mate. So, after listening a couple of times, trying to complete the gaps, they can check the answers with their pairs. Then, we can sing or even do a competition. 

The lyrics of the song are from azlyrics. 

STEPS

Pre-listening

1. We listen the song and watch the videoclip.
2. We asked our students how they feel listening to it. (Many opinions came up)

While-listening

1. Give the photocopies. 
2. A couple of minutes to read them.
3. Listen the song (1)
4. Review the answers
5. Listen the song again (2)
6. Review the answers 

Post-listening

1. Check the answers 
2. Sing only the chorus
3. Singing competition in groups.
4. Make a choreography, why not? 

If it´s a little bit difficult we can adapt the text and break it into different chunks to put them in order.
